BFI Careers Talk with Tiina Heinonen
Tiina is an experienced, innovative and collaborative film marketing professional, with a career spanning theatrical and home entertainment distribution, cinema and VOD exhibition, festivals and special events, audience development and loyalty schemes.
In her current role, she leads the marketing strategies and teams for BFI London Film Festival and BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival - delivering impactful campaigns and partnerships to grow and diversify BFI Festivals’ audiences in London and around the UK.
As Online Marketing Manager for Curzon 2012-2018, she steered the strategic direction of the company’s digital output, creative and brand presence alongside delivering digital marketing campaigns for 170+ film releases in the UK and Ireland including The Handmaiden, 45 Years and Pina.
She’s a long-time British Independent Film Awards voter and completed an MA in History of Film and Visual Media at Birkbeck in 2011.
