BFI Film and TV Industry Ready Training
This 2-day workshop run by BFI’s Matt Gallagher and Amie Tridgell will take students through how to prepare themselves for the world of work in the film and TV industry. Students will look at current issues and opportunities, and different production types and levels, and how this knowledge can inform their career paths. They will go through writing CVs and cover letters specifically designed around getting into the film and TV industry. Matt and Amie will explore how to expand your network, how to interview effectively, and what to do and what not to do on a professional set. Students will also get an insight into the intricacies of freelancing and managing your finance, including pay rates, and what it means to be self-employed or PAYE.
Participating students must attend both workshops.
